Rarely does a song about heartbreak also serve as a transformative track, one that sends you away from your current locale to a place of enigma and tranquility, even if it just for four minutes. The latest track by East London-based singer Kae Sera does just that – it’s called “The Moon.”
There’s no denying that this music is truly modern with its pulsating Electro-Pop bounce, but Kae Sera adds a nice fusion of Sophisti-Pop with progressive instrumentation, like cascading synths and soundscapes. In addition, Kae Sera’s vocal delivery is more Jazzy in its approach. This makes for a song with a bit more seriousness in its delivery – very different from the Pop tracks of today that specialize in elementary storylines and overdubbed, overused, electronic vibes and instrumentation.
This track is laid back but so loaded with emotion and energy – it’s like the same feeling you get when you walk on the beach at night – you’re intoxicated by subtle energy and charged to reinvent yourself.
Metaphorically, “The Moon” illustrates how this luminary can illuminate a darkened life where sadness has set in. Kae Sera’s vocals are spot on, delivering a wonderful, simple, yet complex, register to seal the message of the song – showing hurt feelings can be healed.
Musically, vocally, and lyrically, “The Moon” is one of the best tracks on the Electro-Pop scene for the fall of 2021 – this track will not be unnoticed. This is a wonderful vehicle of empowerment to find your strength and ebb on with life’s waves.
