For those readers that have not heard of you before could you tell us a bit about yourself your story?
I’m an indie folk songwriter from Cork Ireland. This is my second single called Full Moon.
Who inspired you to get on stage and perform?
I never really had visions of being on stage I just really wanted a creative outlet but being on stage can naturally becomes part of being a songwriter, it’s a great way for your songs to go on a journey.
Are there any particular artists or albums that have inspired you and informed your sound?
I don’t listen to enough music but time and again I come back to any Alex Turner work, Matt Berninger, and lately Adrianne Lenker.
Do you have any songwriting rituals?
No, just that lately I’ve been writing in bursts. Maybe not writing for a long time and then along come a few fully formed songs very quickly. I think the songs have been percolating a while though when they arrive like that.

Could you tell us a bit about the writing/recording of the Syncr Music winning track ‘Full Moon’?
This was an old song recorded in lockdown. Julia Jacklin has a lot of straight production where the instruments just support the song and I think I was leaning into this style at that time.
Do you have any plans for a new album or EP?
I’d love to put an EP out in the new year.
Here at Artistic Echoes, we are always on the lookout for new artists do you have any to recommend?
I’ve been really enjoying Julia Jacklin lately.
What plans do you have for the rest of the year?
I’m finding it difficult to work plans around the pandemic, a lot of restrictions are still in place here in Ireland but due to lift next week and I’m looking forward to the industry getting back on its feet.
