Faded Rose came together when I decided I was tired of playing cover bands and wanted to share my music with the rest of the world. What started out as a solo project quickly transformed into what it is now. I am very fortunate to be able to work with a great group of guys. They are all so talented and we get along really well.
Who inspired you to get on the stage and perform?
Though I always loved writing, artists like Alanis Morrisette and Gwen Stefani really inspired me to start performing. I loved how they helped shape the way women were represented in the music industry and the overall influence they had over music throughout the years.
Are there any particular artists or albums that have influenced your sound?
I would say that Alanis and Stevie Nicks probably influenced my sound the most.
Do you have any songwriting rituals, a particular time/mood/place that suits you?
I have to be inspired to write. I tried to schedule writing time for myself, but it just doesn’t work. It has to be organic. I tend to have these bursts of creativity and inspiration where I’ll write a few songs within a week or two, then won’t write again for a while. I also have to be completely alone to minimize distractions as much as possible. I’ve actually written several songs in the shower.
Could you tell us a bit about the writing/recording of the Syncr Music winning track Don’t Say?
Don’t Say was actually born from another song I was in the process of writing at the time but just didn’t love. I scrapped, went back to the beginning riff and the song just poured out. It is the title track off the EP and is one of my favorites to play.
Do you have any plans to release an Album / EP?
The Don’t Say EP was released last year, in May of 2021. We are currently in the process of recording our next single, which is actually almost done and should be ready to release by the end of July. You can take a sneak peek on YouTube.
What are some of your favourite venues to perform at?
We’ve recently played Daryl’s House Club in Pawling, NY. It’s owned by Daryl Hall of Hall and Oates, which is pretty cool. So many great artists have come through there, it has great energy, and is a fun place to play.

I’ve been really into Spill Tab lately. I’m always on the lookout for new artists too!
What plans do you have for the rest of the year?
I am hoping to release an album before the end of the year. We have so many songs and I really can’t wait to share them. We will also be participating in the Opening Act Competition sponsored by Audacy which will start sometime in August and will get some shows on the calendar as well.
