When an artist releases a track that almost everyone in the world can relate to – that’s the mark of a brilliant songwriter and Charlie John is just that. Like many of us, John struggles with depression and anxiety and he wrote his new single, “Cheer Up” as a way to bring awareness to the issue. “I wanted to create something that would remind people and society that most of the time people’s problems are much harder to solve than you realize,” John says. “ I wanted to say that you should get to know someone before judging them and just telling them to quickly feel better when that simply isn’t possible.”
Singer/songwriter Charlie John currently resides in Covington, Kentucky USA, and has been making amazing music for twelve years. Charlie has won 2 Ohio Music Awards for songwriting and he won Grand Prize in the Songdoor 2016 International Songwriting Competition with his song “Change Me”. Charlie recently showcased an original set at the SXSW Conference in Austin, TX on March 16 2023.
