Adam Masterson’s “Take a Little Love” from off the Time Bomb album is a welcoming musical post-it to the masses telling us to take time for love. In 2023, it is what we all need to do with today’s culture of war, political insecurity, and global unrest.
Masterson’s vocals are appealing, strong, and brutally melodic. Those blazing guitars and soulful backing vocals just push the track further into the ears, down to the heart. The accompanying video is spirited, modern, and heartwarming.
Hip Hop and Bubble Gum pop do the job on occasion, but when you want to hear music that is evocative and meaningful, give me the Rock – I will take the t-shirt and jeans over glam any day. This is an honest unapologetic lyric all backed with a New York meets S. Philly vacationing in London sound and vibe.
