LIZ STRINGER 

Award-winning Australian singer/songwriter, Liz Stringer, just released her new single with William Crighton, “Golden Age,” a cover of the tune by Midnight Oil.

LUCINDA WILLIAMS 

Stories From A Rock n Roll Heart is the newest release and 15th studio album by American singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams. It was released on June 30, 2023, by Highway 20 Records. 

The album was announced on April 4, 2023, simultaneously with the release of its lead single “New York Comeback”, which features Bruce Springsteen on backing vocals.

LYDIA LUCE 

Based in Nashville, TN Lydia Luce released her 3-song EP in June. The EP includes the songs, “Your Garden,” “Never Enough,” and “Face And Figure.”

MADDIE WILSON 

Maddie Wilson, just released her poignant new single, “I Wish That I Could Call You” in June. The new mom says she’s been meaning to release the single for a while, but had to take some time to adjust to new-mom life.

MADELINE MERLO 

Vancouver, British Columbia native, Madeline Merlo just released her new single, “Same Car” this past March. 

The award-winning singer/songwriter wrote the song with Jason Saenz, Josh Osborne, Sara Haze and Zach Crowell, who also served as the producer. 

“I was so excited. I remember like the day I wrote it knowing we had something special and being really excited about it,” Merlo told Country Now,

MADILYN BAILEY 

Madilyn Bailey, an American singer/songwriter, musician and YouTube personality just released her new single, “Doomsday In LA”. 

Bailey sets up the new single by saying, “When you look to your left and see a person that you would want to watch the world end with you know that’s also the same person life is worth living with.”

MAREN MORRIS 

Maren Morris, along with Marcus Mumford, just released four versions of the new single “Look At Us Now (Honeycomb)” from the American Prime Video series, Daisy Jones & The Six, based on the 2019 novel of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid. The Amazon original song is a reimagined version of the single, which first appeared on Aurora, the debut album from Daisy Jones & The Six.

MEG BAIRD 

San Francisco-based Meg Baird, who, in addition to her solo career, is also a founding member, lead vocalist and drummer for Heron Oblivion, released her 9-track album, Furling, in January.

MEREDITH BROOKS 

Meredith Brooks, released an updated version of her 1997 record-breaking debut album, Blurring The Edges *Expanded Edition). 

This was the album that included her major hit single “Bitch,” which is one of the 18 tracks in the new version. The 12 original songs are joined by six bonus tracks – three of which are live recordings, one is a remix, and the other two are previously unavailable for digital download or streaming.

MICHAL TOWBER 

Israel-born, New York City-raised, Michal Towber released her new four-song EP, Capsule This past January, after releasing several singles over the last few years, including “Paradise Won’t Wait,” “Crying,” and “Don’t Save Me.” Towber is also known for her work as a composer for the American soap opera, One Life To Live.

MIRANDA LAMBERT 

Miranda Lambert has teamed up with fellow Texas native, Leon Bridges, to release their amazing new single, “If You Were Mine.” 

Miranda recently talked to Pitchfork Magazine about the new single, “I have been a big fan of Leon for a while because he is very authentic as an artist and I love his music. I wrote this song with Ashley Monroe and Jesse Frasure specifically with Leon in mind. Since we are both from Texas, we threw in a few Texas references, of course—the Frio River being one. When we finished this song, we sent it to Leon in hopes that he would want to collaborate and we were so glad that he said yes. I have really enjoyed getting to know him and I’m happy to have him as a new friend.”

NATALIE MERCHANT 

Singer/songwriter, Natalie Merchant, who was a member of 10,000 Maniacs for more than a decade, has just released her ninth studio solo album, Keep Your Courage

The ten-track album also features Abeena Koomson-Davis on two tracks, “Big Girls,” and “Come On Aphrodite.”

P!NK 

The new album, Trustfall, is P!nk’s ninth studio album and includes 13 amazing tracks, including a poignant and heartfelt track for her late father who died in 2021, “When I Get There.” 

In Oct. 2021, on what would have been her father’s 76th birthday, she penned a heartfelt message on Instagram dedicated to her late father. She wrote in part, “I don’t know where you are. And therefore I don’t know where I am either. Anyways Happy birthday Daddy Sir. Gone but not forgotten. I won’t miss you yet. I’m not ready.”

RACHEL PLATTEN 

After signing with Columbia Records in 2015 and releasing her mainstream single, “Fight Song,” Rachel Platten has left the label and has just released her first independent single, “Girls.” 

Rachel opens up to her fans on social media and says, “Transitioning from being with a label to releasing this song independently was nerve-wracking, to say the least. I questioned my ability to go at it alone and wondered if it would still connect with people in the same way. But I chose to trust the process, follow my instincts, and remind myself that I was ‘born to run’. Now, with over 2 million streams, I stand here humbled and with my hands lifted high in gratitude to every single one of you who took the time to listen and embrace my music.”

SAMANTHA FISH 

Kansas City’s own Samantha Fish has partnered with musician, actor and producer, Jesse Dayton, for a 12-track collaborative album titled, Death Wish Blues. 

Fish has made a name for herself as a multi-award-winning festival headliner who captivates crowds with her explosive guitar work that defies all genre boundaries. 

Dayton has an extraordinary background that includes recording with the likes of Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings, touring as a guitarist for seminal punk band X, working with Rob Zombie on the soundtracks for his iconic horror films, and releasing a series of acclaimed solo albums.

SARA BAREILLES 

During American Idol’s annual Disney Night, Grammy-winning, Tony and Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles opened the show with a special rendition of the beloved song “When You Wish Upon a Star,” which was originally heard in Disney’s animated classic, Pinnochio, is one of Disney’s most iconic songs. 

Disney has now released a new music video of Bareilles recording the track, along with orchestras in New York, Scotland, and London – you can watch the official video below.

SHANNON LAY 

This past April, Shannon Lay released her 9-song digital album of covers entitled Covers Vol. 1. Lay tells Subpop, “I absolutely love doing covers. It’s such a joy to offer my perspective on songs I admire and spread the word about amazing artists. Covers Vol. 1 is the first in a series of cover records celebrating my obsession with shannonizing songs.” 

Her first single from the new album was, “Angeles” by Elliott Smith. Lay tells Subpop, “If I had a nickel for every minute I’ve spent listening to Elliott Smith I’d be a very rich woman. His intricate thoughtfulness always fills me up. “Angeles” was one of those songs I was always quite intimidated to learn but upon finally trying it came together so naturally. Then Debbie Neigher topped things off with an amazing piano outro. I love feeling Elliott’s spirit embedded in the musical scene at large. SHARON VAN ETTEN 

Brooklyn mom, actress, and singer/songwriter, Sharon Van Etten has just released the new single, “Quiet Eyes,” she wrote as the closing song for the new film, Past Lives, written and directed by Celine Song. 

“The idea of past lives, who I used to be, what I could have been, people I lost touch with, parts of myself I lost along the way… is a beautiful, intangible, relatable concept that Celine Song so gracefully explores in her story, Past Lives,” Van Etten wrote on Twitter, speaking to her love for the director and her debut feature film.

SHERYL CROW 

Last year, as Willie Nelson’s 89th birthday neared, Luck Presents and Bruce Robison, a singer-songwriter and producer, wanted to celebrate Willie’s influence and impact with a Texas-sized party. On May 1, 2022, Sheryl Crow, Nathaniel Rateliff, Steve Earle, Robert Earl Keen, Margo Price, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Vincent Neil Emerson, Shinyribs, Emily Gimble and Robison serenaded Willie with songs from the greatest influence in country music. Fortunately, Robison rolled tape and thankfully, the album One Night in Texas: The Next Waltz’s Tribute to the Red Headed Stranger, was released on April 28, 2023 — one day before Willie turned 90.

SOPHIE B. HAWKINS 

Sophie B. Hawkins, from “Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover” fame has just released her first album in over a decade. The 10-track album entitled, Free Myself, is full of raw and poetic originals.

TANYA TUCKER 

Two-time Grammy-winning entertainment legend Tanya Tucker, who, last month, became the newest inductee into the Country Music Hall of Fame, releases her highly-anticipated new album, Sweet Western Sound, produced by Brandi Carlile and Shooter Jennings. 

Sweet Western Sound is the 26th studio album by this country music veteran and is the follow-up to her 2019 Grammy-winning album, While I’m Livin’.

TENILLE TOWNES 

When Train frontman, Patrick Monahan wanted a fresh country voice on his new single, “I Know,” he reached out to Tenille Townes. who, along with American rapper Bryce Vine, teamed up with him to record the single. 

“For a girl who has sang “Drops of Jupiter” a million times, I sure got excited for the invite to sing on the new @train song!!!” Townes wrote on social media.

Western New York-born and now LA-based singer/songwriter, Terra Naomi just released her new single, “Get Mine (Acoustic)”
