“Dorothy” is a song by Leed’s based duo Faint Line. It is no secret why this track is highly anticipated since the release of their last track because the duo has pushed the bar even higher with this track – a great choice to do so I might add. “Dorothy” is full of 80’s vibe and modern relevance. Faint Line’s latest track features layered vocals, awesome synths, and full infectious melody. At first listen, one may think that the song is dark, but soon one realizes that “Dorothy” plays on all of our emotions – taking the listener from sadness to euphoria all the way to contemplation in just two minutes. At the 1:24 mark, the stifled effect placed on the lead’s vocals adds texture and a bit of mystery to an already mesmerizing track. In addition, the climbing scales of the keyboard is a hook all on its own. Every element of this track illustrates talent from the vocalist, musicians, and producer. The mix of synthesized riffs blended with emotive, lush, vocals allows for Faint Line to craft not only great songs but also a moment in indie music that will last longer than a trend. If “Red Tide ” placed Faint Line on the radar of popular music, then “Dorothy” will keep them there. I cannot wait to hear more!
