I’ve been a fan of Charlie John for many years and every time he releases new music, I think to myself “There’s no way he’ll top this” but every time I listen to his new releases, he proves me wrong. From “Change Me” to “All These Things” and his amazing debut album, Charlie released last year – all of these songs have found a home on my daily playlists. And when I heard Charlie was releasing a new EP, I knew I couldn’t love it any more than his other music, but once again Charlie proved me wrong because his new EP has totally knocked it out of the park! This is a collection of music you’ll want to listen to from start to finish, every time.
Glue is a declaration of true love. The title song says it all – “your love holds me together like glue”. It’s that feeling of being “Better Together” and knowing that the person you’re with will be by your side until the end. You know you’re in love when you realize you’ve never had a friend “Kiss Me Like That”. This entire EP is “Magic”…and then some.
Charlie was born into a family of singers and songwriters and started performing for friends and family at a young age. He picked up the guitar at age 18 and has never looked back. Charlie won Best Original Pop Song and Best Original Singer/Songwriter Song in the 2016 Ohio Music Awards AND the overall Grand Prize in the Songdoor 2016 International Songwriting Competition with his song “Change Me”.
