For those people who haven’t heard of you before, could you tell us a bit about yourself?
My father played acoustic guitar and harmonica and had a nice bunch of vinyls, so I guess you can say I was raised in a music friendly environment! I started to study classical guitar myself about the age of ten, then went to the conservatory.
After finishing public school, I studied at the American School Of Modern Music in Paris, then started a few rock bands and played many gigs. Nowadays, I’m concentrating in writing, recording, and producing my music, making it available for all to hear.
Who inspired you to get on stage and perform?
There are four bands I can think of, Prince And The Revolution, The Police, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, and a french group named La Mano Negra. They had all their own style, but what they had in common was a formidable energy when they were on stage, making you want to move your ass!
What are some of the artists/albums that have stuck with you and inspired your sound?
I love many things in music, from pop to jazz, rock, electro, classical, etc… So I guess I draw my inspiration from many corners! One of my favorite genres is progressive rock because it conveys all kinds of music in itself, and I’m a huge fan of bands like Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, Gong, etc… Albums like Close To The Edge, by Yes, Foxtrot, by Genesis, or You, by Gong, are absolute masterpieces! On the more electronic side, I like Vangelis a lot, and artists like Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dream, Ash Ra, Royksopp… From the mighty sixties, I adore The Beatles and The Beach Boys, of course! Paul Mc Cartney and Brian Wilson were the true geniuses of their time. From present times, I dig artists like Thom Yorke and the bands he’s in, Air, Bonobo, Anthony Joseph, the french singer Philippe Katerine and his singular universe… And, last but not least, I can not forget to mention the great Ennio Morricone, who was responsible for one of my first musical emotions when I was a child!
Where do you write your music, are you someone always coming up with song ideas?
I write music at home, essentially, but I can write it anywhere in my head if needs be!
I can say I’m not struggling with inspiration, most of the time. It can strike at any moment, I have a lot of song ideas recorded here and there, and even complete tunes that are still in my brain, just waiting to get out!
Please tell us about the ReverbNation winning track “Moonshine”?
Moonshine leads its way between jazz, pop and electro. From jazz, we have the chords progression and the jazzy tones of the music, from pop we have the female vocals plus the dreamy arrangement, and from electro, some production effects. The female voice is running backwards most of the time, that’s what gives this feeling of an “hindi” vocal! And that’s why people don’t recognize the language of the song. It’s part of its mystery, and also what’s getting the people attracted to it, I guess…
What has been your favourite experience as a musician?
It’s a remaining experience: recording and producing music. Always. When you have your song ready to go, and then you start the process and get things done piece by piece. When the result is great, there’s no better reward in the world!
Do you have any plans to release an EP or an album?
Yes, my new album Movements will be out in February. Moonshine will feature on it, and remasters of my two previous albums are on their way.
What is the most memorable place you have performed?
It was in a bar in Paris, crowded with hot people, during the music fest. Oh man, what a night!

Sorry, but I’m not particularly aware of the new musical scene, and there’s no one I can think of, at the moment… What comes in mind are already well-established bands!
What plans do you have for the rest of the year?
Well, I’m gonna work on a new album, and also try to get my music on films or television because I’m often being said there’s a cinematic quality to it, and that’s also what I think…
