For those people who haven’t heard of you before, could you tell us a bit about yourself?
I am a multi-instrumentalist and Singer/Songwriter from Canada. My name is Annette Green. The main genres of my music are Celtic Folk/Roots.
Very early in life, I performed in a Touring Church Choir, learning piano and brass bells. Growing up, I continued performing in local theatres, I then learned how to play guitar and write my own songs. One of my first songs was published on our high school CD, Dunnolugged. For a couple of decades, I played solo or as a supporting musician around Toronto, Ontario and Hamilton, Ontario.
For years I lived above Hamilton’s iconic 435 Gallery. During that time, my mother and I had visual Art Shows at 435 Gallery, Sealed Art and Hsmilton’s Art Crawls.
In Hamilton’s underground music scene I am known for my covers of Joni Mitchell’s Woodstock and Jefferson Airplane’s White Rabbit. My best known original is called Wild Horses written in Open D tuning. (A video of me performing that original song at Gallery 435 is available through ReverbNation videos)
I play music tuned to 432hz, which allows the sound to bring our energy centres into balance with the vibrational frequencies of nature.
Who inspired you to get on stage and perform?
I have been performing so long at so many different things that it is hard to pinpoint where the dream began. I know two things for sure.
When I was about 5 years old, my step dad asked me what I would like to be when I grow up. I remember putting thought into it: how would my day go if I was a doctor or a lawyer? I thought of standing on a stage, taking in the crowd’s energy and expanding it through song like a prism.
I picked singer.
The second thing I know is that becoming a mother made me fearless and resilient. My girls inspired this part of my journey.
What are some of the artists/albums that have stuck with you and inspired your sound?
Pink Floyd, The Doors, Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, Nina Simone, Cranberries, Eddie Vedder, Tori Amos.

Where do you write your music, are you someone who is always coming up with song ideas?
Oh yes. I have been channeling songs for many years. Sometimes they come in waves. Sometimes it is just lyrics or just guitar. Sometimes the song comes all at once or I hear a part of it in a dream. I can write on the spot about any given subject or just channel music.
Starchild, the Title song on the album was written while I was barefoot in the grass and pregnant with my eldest daughter.
Please tell us about the ReverbNation winning track “What I See”?
What I See is a song that juxtaposes nature and city.
The idea behind the song is that we become the perspective of our environment rather than simply a product of our environment.
In Hamilton, Ontario, for instance, what you will find hidden behind the smoke stacks is a city of Waterfalls. You can get weighed down by cement and smog or inspired by the trails, coves and waterfalls.
To quote dr Joe Dispenza
“ Where you place your attention, is where you place your energy. “
What has been your favourite experience as a musician?
The studio experience working with B Town Sound in Burlington was a creatively inspiring experience, and the adventure that Robyn Pauhl and I experienced for the photoshoot was rich with divine presence.
Working with them was a joy that followed its own divine timing.
Do you have any plans to release an EP or an album?
Yes! So, I have just released Starchild 432hz.
It is a 12 song album that you can use to reprogram unconscious beliefs to align with your own unlimited potential. It explores the metamorphosis of our soul- the experience of coming into ourselves- reframing our beliefs to align with our highest potential.
Later this year I plan to print LPs. Both CDs and LPs will come with a full lyrical booklet for Starchild 432hz.
This year I hope to begin my second album in the studio- Love and Loss. And even start recording instrumental healing soundscapes in 432hz.
A little bit more detail about this album:
What is the most memorable place you have performed?
I have performed a lot of places, but there was a drum circle that I attended in Toronto’s Church of the Holy Trinity. It was not an entertainment performance but a spiritual gathering.
There was a moment when all of us (about 80 drummers) suddenly stopped playing at the same time.
Silence echoed.
Here at Artistic Echoes, we are always on the lookout for new artists do you have any to recommend?
The four good emperors are a jazz band in British Columbia Canada. Ally Jed is the singer and the flavour is vibrant and cool.
What plans do you have for the rest of the year?
I am always posting new blog posts about the subject of our own existence and evolution. I would love to hear from readers in the comments to encourage more open dialogue on these subjects.
This year, apart from working at new studio recordings and getting the LPs printed for Starchild 432hz, I’ll be looking to play live music much more actively.
This summer I will be posting 432hz handpan performances in the creek.
Stay tuned.
