“Paper Over The Cracks” is the debut single from Welsh Psych Pop duo Sip of Milk. The lyrics can serve as a universal PSA telling society to deal with each day’s anxieties as they come to smooth out the rough spots of life.
Musically, “Paper Over The Cracks” is energetic and fun, but do not let that fool you into thinking that the duo is not bringing the power. Nathan Corbett’s mid-tempo vocals excellently illustrate what robust, soulful, rocker vocals are supposed to sound like. Equally, Lewis Howell’s bass makes this track danceable and unforgettable.
This duo is wonderfully NOT attempting to mimic what came before them, or what is competing with them today, because their sound is refreshingly awesome.
Sip of Milk have crafted a song that features a catchy hook and a solid, sing-along, chorus – an element that I feel cements them as a duo to take notice of and keep on your radar.
