Review: Stephen McCafferty – “Reason to Run”

To question anything gives proof of a person’s interest in existing and becoming better at living.  This is the message explored, in part, in Stephen McCafferty’s latest track “Reason to Run.”

The track opens with acoustic guitars playing the threading melody of the single.  It then quickly builds momentum with additional instrumentation along with McCafferty’s infectious vocals. The entire song literally hooks the ear and pulls you in.  The varied guitar riffs splendidly create small shifts in the song’s overall mood which reflects the shift in mentality that ebb and flow when a person is contemplating complex themes.

It is no secret that the downside of this music business is how many artists sacrifice the music, the message, and the melody for exposure, likes, and followers.  Not with McCafferty!  McCafferty is consistent in delivering quality music.  His arrangements are spot on and create an experience not just a listen.  His message on this latest single cuts deep and caught my attention immediately.

McCafferty’s success was not overnight, but I know his trajectory is going to be swift and amazing.  I want to hear more from Stephen McCafferty.  Click here to pre-save “Reason to Run.”
